COURSES
General English
Our General English courses are designed to improve all of your skills in English. Morning lessons focus on grammar and vocabulary using a communicative approach, whereas afternoon lessons focus on speaking and listening, to further develop confidence and fluency.
Junior Courses
Our mixed nationality Summer Vacation Course offers 12 to 16 year olds English lessons with a full social, cultural and sports programme. Students enjoy 3 hours per day of general English (mixed nationality classes), in addition to a full programme of activities, excursions and sports. All materials are included along with a file to help organise studying. The Summer Vacation Course runs from 20th June to 20th August 2011. Minimum age: 12.
Examination Courses
Our Cambridge examination courses offer intensive exam preparation and are designed to raise your language level in all areas: speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The complete Cambridge courses start in January, March and September. Students are provided with a course book, receive monthly tutorials and receive a mock exam before sitting the final examination. Minimum age: 16yrs.
Intensive English for Business and Professionals
Total immersion courses for individuals or small groups of executives. 7 hours per day. All levels. Minimum age: 18. Students receive a needs analysis at the beginning of the course to optimise the use of their time spent in the classroom. All materials are provided.
Teachers’ Courses
The course is aimed at primary or secondary school teachers required to deliver lessons in English. A variety of teaching approaches and methodologies will be assessed and ways of looking at their practical classroom application. There will also be the opportunity to observe your subject being taught at a local primary or secondary school. Having completed the course, participants should feel more confident about teaching in English and have learnt language relevant to their own teaching situations.
1:1 Lessons
Individual Lessons designed to meet the student’s specific requirements. Discounts are available for students booking more than 15 hours.
 ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS
The following activities and excursions are available as part of our closed group programmes and our summer vacation course for juniors. They can also be arranged for our adult students during their stay in Plymouth. School escorts are provided for all group activities.
