Christmas Events in Plymouth

Christmas is an important time for retailers in Plymouth and there are certainly a lot of events in Plymouth this Christmas to maximize their potential business during the festive season.

The Plymouth Winter festival is sure to pull in the shoppers to the city centre along with the outdoor Ice Rink and the Plymouth Christmas Market. The big Christmas light switch on taking place on 17th November 2011 will herald Plymouth into the festive season along with the Plymouth Christmas market and the outdoor Ice Rink will attract shoppers by the thousands.

Businesses on the Barbican are also getting in on the act and are not short of festive spirit themselves. They to will have plenty of Christmas lights to illuminate Southside Street and will house Santa in his Grotto at the Plymouth Tourist Information Centre after he arrives by an RNLI Lifeboat on 4th December.

All around Plymouth you can find things to do including church events, fetes and fairs, Christmas Carnival, Christmas markets, Christmas fayres, Christmas workshops, pantomime, shows, National Trust events, choirs, music events, gigs in Plymouth at Christmas and sports events too.

There’s going to be something for everyone to enjoy this year so get yourself away from the boring telly and get in the Christmas mood and celebrate this Christmas in the best place to be – Plymouth.
